Vinnolit’s Managing Director Dr. Karl-Martin Schellerer promoted to ‘Vice President – Europe & Asia Vinyls Chemicals’ at Westlake

Dr. Karl-Martin Schellerer, Managing Director of the PVC manufacturer Vinnolit, has been named as Vice President – Europe & Asia Vinyls Chemicals at Westlake Chemical effective 31 July 2017.

Schellerer’s new area of responsibility also includes two Westlake joint ventures, the Chinese PVC resin and PVC film manufacturer Suzhou Huasu Plastics Co. Ltd. (Huasu), as well as the chloralkali producer Taiwan Chlorine Industries (TCI), in addition to the management of the Vinnolit Group in Europe.

Westlake has held a majority stake in Huasu since 1993. TCI previously was a majority-held joint venture of Axiall Corporation and has been part of Westlake Chemical since the closing of the Axiall transaction in August 2016. Since 2014, Vinnolit has been a part of Westlake and is taking a leading role in the further globalization of the Group.
