Respiratory protection against corona: Vinnolit supports the Corona Centre Clinic Mühldorf, the Corona crisis team of the Rhein-Erft district and care facilities

To support local medical care, the PVC manufacturer Vinnolit, a Westlake company, donated more than 2500 respiratory protection masks as emergency aid to various institutions in the region.

The Corona Center Clinic Mühldorf received 1,000 FFP2 masks. The company also donated additional respiratory masks to the Traunstein District Economic Development Agency, the Corona Crisis Management Team of the Rhine-Erft District, a specialist clinic in Zülpich and to various care facilities and senior citizens’ centres in Burghausen, Waldkraiburg, Wesseling and Ismaning, among others.

“We as Vinnolit would like to thank the employees in the health care and nursing facilities for their great commitment in this health crisis situation. As a company from the region, it is a special concern of ours to support them”, Vinnolit Managing Director Dr. Karl-Martin Schellerer commented on the donation. “It is important to us that especially those who actively help can protect themselves,” says Dr. Schellerer.

“We would also like to thank our own employees and those working in the chemical-pharmaceutical industry, who manufacture important system-relevant chemical building blocks, essential also to ensure public health care,” said Dr. Schellerer. “We can only overcome this crisis together.

Vinnolit produces the plastic PVC, which is required for the production of articles for intensive care medicine, such as blood bags, tube systems, oxygen masks, catheters, infusion sets or tablet blister packaging as well as in the construction and automotive sectors. The company also produces caustic soda which is an important basic chemical for the manufacture of paper, glass, ceramics, aluminum, viscose fibres, pharmaceuticals as well as detergents and cleaning agents, which are indispensable for hygiene, especially in these times.
